Virgin of Kazan Silver Icon with Golden Details. Precise copy in silver sheet with gold-plated details of an ancient Byzantine icon of Virgin of Kazan. The finish is both glossy and satin, particularly on the two faces, the gold details bring out the numerous details in the painting. Virgin of Kazan is an image of the Virgin and Child of Byzantine origin dated to the 11th century and lost in 1209, found in 1579 in Russia in the city of Kazan from which it takes its name.
