This Gold-Plated and finely hand-enamelled 925 Sterling Silver Earrings represent the two Sicilian Moorish Heads man and woman. The legend of the Moor's Heads has a story of love, jealousy and passion. A Moor fell in love with a beautiful girl. The girl returned the feeling of the Moor, but their story was destined to a short life. Soon the young woman discovered that her loved had to return to the East where his wife and children were waiting for him. She killed her Moor while he was sleeping. She then she cut off the head and created a vase in which she planted a basil. Each earring measures 0,39' x 0,78, while the total length of the whole earring is 1,57'.
